Sponsorship Opportunity – Conservative Jewish Life: Grounding Our Lives
Dear Am HaYam family and friends,
This past year we have been fortunate to offer “Conservative Jewish Life: Grounding Our Lives”. The first three programs held on Zoom, included Cantor Mike Stein, Dr. Rabbi Eliot Dorff and Rabbi Joshua Hoffman. We explored:
- Conservative Judaism and the Power of Music in Enhancing Spirituality
- Conservative Judaism and the Power of Synagogue: Membership and Minyan
- Conservative Judaism and the Power of Belonging to Our Movement
These sessions were quite popular, and not only were we enriched, but many others from the Ventura area community, from Southern California, and beyond. We should all feel proud!
Our fourth and final session in this series will be:
- Conservative Judaism and the Power of CAH: The Power of Celebration in Enhancing Our Lives
This special event will be held LIVE on Sunday, May 22, 2022 at Congregation AmHaYam at 11:30 AM. The morning will be a culminating event that will include:
- a Siyyum, a concluding ceremony of our year long study,
- lunch,
- recognition of our sponsors
- sharing reflections of our learning
- entertainment
The entertainment for the morning will be The Rolling Steins, a well-known (especially in Southern California) music group comprised of Cantor Mike Stein (our first session presenter) and his family. They are all accomplished performers and artists! The Steins incorporate a wide range of musical styles in their performances—funk, jazz, country, blues, Israeli, hip-hop—and they often work together to write original compositions.
These programs are funded in part thanks to a grant from USCJ’s Pacific Southwest Region. We also received a generous donation from the Joseph P. Reardon Funeral Home.
We want to offer you the opportunity to participate as a sponsor of this exciting final program.
The sponsorship categories are:
Mount Sinai Summit–$180.00
We will soon be again celebrating Shavuot when our people were gathered around Mount Sinai. You, too, can have a Mount Sinai moment by helping to sponsor this event at this level.
Ruth and Boaz Chesed–$54.00
Ruth and Boaz’s story is read on Shavuot, because chesed, acts of loving kindness, are central to perpetuating community. You, too, can join with Ruth and Boaz by sponsoring at this level.
We hope that you will consider participating as a sponsor at one of these levels.
Please contact Brenda Rich to become a sponsor at president@amhayam.com.
Meanwhile, please remember to read more about this event on our website Here. And while you do so, please remember to register and tell all your friends and family to register as well. The event is free, but one must register!
We thank you in advance for at least considering your participation at one of these levels. Todah rabbah, and may we have more occasions to come together and celebrate!
Warmly,
Brenda Rich Rabbi J.B. Sacks
